OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe great hair is the result of good technique, honest communication, and a team that never stops learning. Every stylist at Jazz pursues education outside the salon, not because we have to, but because we want to.
We're also a Redken Concept Salon and a Certified Green Circle Salon, which means we hold ourselves to a standard, both in the quality of what we put on your hair and in what we do with the waste that comes from doing it.
OUR STYLISTS
LISA
Lisa came to hairstyling five years ago after a fulfilling 21-year career in developmental services, and she hasn't looked back. She completed a two-year apprenticeship at St. Lawrence College and earned her Red Seal certification, with a specialty in blonding, balayage, and lived-in blondes. What drives Lisa most is helping clients feel their absolute best. Outside the salon, you'll find her enjoying nature, staying active, and spending time with her family and pets. She's deeply committed to continuing her growth in the industry and honing her craft every day.
COREY
Corey's path into hairstyling was fueled by pure passion. His journey started 10 years ago, and today he's a Redken-certified stylist and is an extension specialist trained at Donaldson by Design Hair Academy. Corey's strengths lie in extensions, fashion colours, blonding, and colour correction. Plus, he's equally known for his artistry in the drag community. More than anything, Corey loves the transformative power of hair; helping people fall in love with themselves again and walk out with a fresh boost of confidence.
ALLEY
Alley has hit the ground running in the industry, bringing a bubbly energy and genuine love for helping clients feel confident in their hair. Her eye for long haircuts, blonding, and lived-in colour is especially strong when helping clients move from years of box dye into a softer, brighter, more dimensional result. Her enthusiasm for helping clients reach their dream hair goals makes every appointment feel like a collaboration. When she's not behind the chair, you’ll find her keeping up to date with the latest fashion trends, catching up with friends and family, and still carrying a love for soccer.
AVA
Ava's road to hairstyling started during COVID – doing friends' hair for prom – and she never looked back. After beginning at St. Lawrence College and training under Ann, she just recently hit the salon floor as an apprentice. Ava gravitates toward vivid colours and lived-in blonde services, with an aesthetic rooted in 70s inspiration and bold, creative expression. Off the clock, she channels that same creativity into quilting, crocheting, and all kinds of handmade projects. She especially loves connecting with clients her own age who are ready to try something unexpected.
AMANDA
Hairstyling has been Amanda's calling since childhood; her grandmother was a stylist, and she was working part-time in salons before she even graduated high school. Now six years into her career at Jazz, she's a St. Lawrence College graduate, a Redken colour-certified stylist, and an in-salon educator. Amanda specializes in blondes, lived-ins, colour corrections, and men's cuts, with a particular love for dramatic transformations that leave clients glowing. She's passionate about ongoing education and regularly seeks out training opportunities outside the salon. At home, she's a country girl at heart, recently engaged, new puppy in tow, and happiest on a four-wheeler or out on the water.
KIM
Kim made the leap into hairstyling in 2019 after years of knowing it was where she truly belonged. She had been captivated by hair since high school, even after taking an accounting detour in college. She graduated from St. Lawrence on the Dean's List and has built a specialty in blonding, customized colour, fashion colours, and grey blending. Kim is a natural connector, she thrives on meeting new people, hearing their stories, and being part of a community. Outside the salon, she's always chasing the next adventure: riding her motorcycle, working toward her scuba certification, camping, and travelling whenever she can. She's dedicated to staying at the cutting edge of her craft, always seeking out new techniques and education.
EDUCATION NEVER STOPS
Our Jazz stylists take their education seriously, and regularly seek out training, certifications, and hands-on workshops outside the salon so they can better service their clients. From Redken colour education to extension techniques to advanced blonding methods, we invest in staying sharp, because we know your hair deserves a stylist who’s on the top of their game.
